The Adobe Calendar 2000, a celebration of digital art at the turn of the Millennium.
Featuring specially commissioned work by 12 leading digital artists, the Adobe Calendar 2000 is a collector's item as well as a landmark in the history of digital art. Alessandro Bavari has a fine art background and has painted in oils, water andacrylics as well as being a keen photographer.
His work includes animation, video, book and CD covers. He aims to combine these techniques to create a new language, and uses Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and Premiere to do so.
His image, which alludes to 14th and 15th century Italian art, is a turbulent vision of humanity and an exodus towards a better millennium.
